Cultural redefinition of innovative social entrepreneurship through the “ethnic economy”

Aim of the course:

The aim is to promote understanding in the field of social entrepreneurship and the ethnic economy and to recognise the mutual influence or interconnectedness of these spheres. On the one hand, the importance of sustainability for social entrepreneurs will be demonstrated. On the other hand, the positive impact that social entrepreneurs can have on sustainability will be highlighted. This will enable adult educators to promote social entrepreneurship for ethical business and sustainability among their learners.

Main ideas:

1. Explain the meaning of Social Entrepreneurship and the ethnic economy.
2. Understand the role and skills required of social entrepreneurs in an ethnic economy.
3. Comprehend why a change of perspective, a cultural redefinition of innovative social entrepreneurship through the „ethnic economy” is necessary.
4. Demonstrate the connection between a Social Entrepreneur and sustainability.
5. Internalise the three dimensions of sustainability.
